Why I joined Wealthy Affiliates way back in 2014
Back in 2014, in the fall, I was searching online for a “job”. Not a regular job, but one where I could create something and make money online. I tried many things for months. Surveys, questionnaires, small task-based sites, and even transcription services. I had some experience creating websites, so I finally started looking at blogsites and affiliate marketing. I was fortunate enough to find a training and hosting platform for affiliate blogs. The site offered training in building blog sites, affiliate marketing, and hosting your blog sites. The training involved using the number one site creation tool, “WordPress”. I decided to check it out. I did a “trial week,” committed to a paid membership on the third day, and that was almost 16 years ago. I’m still a member and still learning.
During these years, I’ve learned so much, created many blog sites, and even client websites. I love the training, which is always continuing, evolving, and expanding. The owners, Kyle and Carson, are great guys, and I love their attitude toward raising the level and value of the platform across training, hosting, creation tools, and more.
The WA community is the most helpful and talented community I’ve ever been involved with. Members range from stark newcomers to very successful marketing professionals. I love this platform and am very happy with the training, hosting, and all the wonderful tools provided. While at my age of 72 and being retired from a long-time civil service career and then shorter part-time careers in photography, web design, and art, I’m mostly interested in creating blogs about my passions and interests, and not making a lot of money, although I have made money through the years, I’m not a raging success story. There are plenty of those among WA’s membership.
